There’s no one like rising star, Andi Jane. Jane doesn’t fit into just one mold, which is eminent at her live shows. Her band Andi Jane and the Honky Tonk Cabaret gives the audience variety, jumping from the unique sounds of her many inspirations Patsy Cline, Shania Twain, and The Beetles. She tells us that performing is the reason she’s in the music business, it’s what drives her passion and creativity to create more. Coming from a small rural town, she was forced to entertain herself. Her mom, who would always sing to her at night, threw her into every activity until one finally stuck - piano. By the time she was a teenager, Jane began writing her own music and made the move to Chicago where she joined a rock band. Unfortunately, the band split leaving her discouraged and she took a “real job” for some time. However, an opportunity to sing background vocals relit her fire and brought her to California. There she participated in an immersive performance festival tasked with writing and performing the music in her production. Eventually, she made the move to Nashville where she now resides, and quickly realized it wasn’t just a place for country music, but all music. Co-writing often and learning from the many creatives in Music City, Andi Jane and the Honky Tonk Cabaret was born. Her latest release, “Hide The Key” was inspired by a relationship gone wrong. “Dating your bandmate is a horrible idea,” Jane tells us. Having kept her relationship a secret for three years from her other bandmates, friends, and family it was finally time to cut the ties. Luckily she was able to get a song out of it and hardhitting one at that. Her heartfelt lyrics accompanied by the breathtaking grand piano heard throughout, “Hide The Key” is a work of art. Rising Country Star Noelle Toland premieres Her Beautiful Music Video for “You’re An Arrow”11/20/2023 Get ready with us as Noelle Toland premieres her new music video for her latest single, You’re An Arrow! Watch here. Co-written with Tyler Winther, the song is exactly what you need to hear if you are dealing with strong emotions or going through some of life’s big changes.
This video is so special because it includes some home videos of one-year-old Noelle playing with her mom. Toland reminisces, saying “I’ve made countless calls to both my parents lamenting on why things aren’t working out, why my heart aches or why every day is a struggle sometimes. This song and video is a reminder for me and others that no matter how far you wander, you are never alone and you are never lost.” These beautiful sentiments were inspired by a Kahlil Gibran poem called “On Children” that Toland’s father sent her when she was struggling with her path in music and in life. The notion of being one’s own arrow and guide through life inspired not just a cute arrow tattoo on Toland’s neck, but an amazing song as well. Part of Toland’s favorite aspect of music is the story and the meaning behind the lyrics. She loves going to writers’ rounds and listening to not just the new songs but also the artist voices behind the music. Toland encourages all new, and old, artists to “work hard to figure out what makes you different- then lean into that. Do not try to just fit in with the crowd.” She brings up Lainey Wilson as a great example of someone who is totally authentic and unapologetically herself. Noelle tries to embody that every time she sits down for a writing session, gets on stage, and even just gets out of bed each morning. Being completely authentic to Toland is to continue performing and sharing her music and message to all those who will hear them. “As cheesy as it may sound, the closest to God I have ever felt is when I am performing on stage. It gives me purpose.” Toland is getting ready for a nonstop year filled with performing and releasing music in 2024. Witness Noelle Toland LIVE in Nashville at her next show Mimosas & Music at the Hard Rock Cafe on December 3rd, tickets are free, but reservations are suggested. The song will remind you of an old relationship and the moment you knew it was time to move on. It’s nice when you hold my hand, but yours is just a little too sweaty for me.” "Little Things is a really special song to me! I think it is so different from the other two songs that I have released, and I am so excited to see what all this song accomplishes in the future,” Jaylee says. “I’m in love with the upbeat tempo, and just can’t wait for everyone to finally hear the song!" Through her music, Ashley encapsulates the spirit of a resilient countrywoman, infusing her songwriting with personal stories and experiences. Her artistic journey is profoundly rooted, fostering a genuine connection with her audience that resonates deeply. Inspired by the game of checkers, Ashleyinterprets life as a voyage characterized by forward progression, occasional detours, a focus on the present rather than dwelling on the past, and a determined journey toward one’s destination. The metaphor is integrated into Ashley’s music and writing, serving as a central theme in her artistic expression that you can’t move backwards, only forward. STREAM HERE
Written by Ashley Barron and songwriter Bill Diluigi, who has over 500 songs recorded on the Billboard Country and Americana Top 100, “Kiss A Brunette” expresses the desire to break free through the upbeat tempo and catchy chorus and getting a little buck wild. Ashley says, “I know this song seems like it’s just about blondes versus brunettes, but really, that’s the metaphor! This song is about accepting yourself and rocking it. It’s about owning who you are and stepping out of society's norms or what society says is beautiful or what you should be like.” Ashley previously released her singles "Beer in a Bar" topping the Billboard chart at #37; "The Wind", debuting on the Billboard chart at #59 and being the second song added on country radio, eventually making its way to #37; and "Let Me Go", becoming the Top 30 song on the Music Row singles chart. The power of individuality and resisting the pressure to conform to societal norms aren’t always easy. ‘“Kiss A Brunette” is for the outcasts, the ones that just never quite fit in. That was me my whole life, sitting on the edge of popularity in school, loving the Lord but being too much of a rebel for the church groups,” adds Ashley. The high-powered vocals create a raw sound that captures the rebellious spirit of self-acceptance. Ashley says, ‘“Kiss A Brunette’ is meant to be rowdy and fun and wants to get you on your feet dancing like nobody’s watching.” Stepping on the country music scene, Ashley continues to tour year-round and share life experiences and stories through her songwriting to create a home-grown feel. Ashley's inspiration is grounded in a country style fused with her rough-edged authenticity. She is set to perform at the National Scleroderma Walk on June 8, 2024, in Napa County, CA, and at the Platteville Fire Department Celebration on June 22, 2024, in Platteville, WI. |
