There’s no one like rising star, Andi Jane. Jane doesn’t fit into just one mold, which is eminent at her live shows. Her band Andi Jane and the Honky Tonk Cabaret gives the audience variety, jumping from the unique sounds of her many inspirations Patsy Cline, Shania Twain, and The Beetles. She tells us that performing is the reason she’s in the music business, it’s what drives her passion and creativity to create more. Coming from a small rural town, she was forced to entertain herself. Her mom, who would always sing to her at night, threw her into every activity until one finally stuck - piano. By the time she was a teenager, Jane began writing her own music and made the move to Chicago where she joined a rock band. Unfortunately, the band split leaving her discouraged and she took a “real job” for some time. However, an opportunity to sing background vocals relit her fire and brought her to California. There she participated in an immersive performance festival tasked with writing and performing the music in her production. Eventually, she made the move to Nashville where she now resides, and quickly realized it wasn’t just a place for country music, but all music. Co-writing often and learning from the many creatives in Music City, Andi Jane and the Honky Tonk Cabaret was born. Her latest release, “Hide The Key” was inspired by a relationship gone wrong. “Dating your bandmate is a horrible idea,” Jane tells us. Having kept her relationship a secret for three years from her other bandmates, friends, and family it was finally time to cut the ties. Luckily she was able to get a song out of it and hardhitting one at that. Her heartfelt lyrics accompanied by the breathtaking grand piano heard throughout, “Hide The Key” is a work of art.
