Written by Abby Anderson, Bonnie Dymond and Clara Calaway and produced by Bonnie Dymond, the song chronicles Abby’s journey overcoming past struggles and growing into a place of confidence and power. Listen to the track HERE.
“I’ve had some low lows in my life. Moments I wouldn’t care to re-live but very thankful for because it taught me there’s always a smile. Always a reason to keep going,” said Abby. “It’s now a skill and practice I take with me everywhere I go and in everything I do. You can knock me off my feet and put me in the bluest of blues, but I’ll always find a way to get to the bright side of it.” It was also announced today that Abby will have two headline shows in June. Lily Rose Announces Her Honest, Highly-Anticipated EP, Runnin' Outta Time, To Arrive Friday, May 103/22/2024 Groundbreaking Country artist Lily Rose announces her highly-anticipated return with her forthcoming EP Runnin' Outta Time, due Friday, May 10. Runnin' Outta Time serves as the long-awaited follow-up to the artist praised by Billboard, Rolling Stone, Boston Herald, The Tennessean, People , and more. With the surprise release of two instant grat tracks, “Parking Lot” and “True North,” Rose offers a first listen of her forthcoming six-song project, full of her signature “swaggering mix of hip-hop and Country” (Nashville Lifestyles).
“All I've ever wanted to do is write and perform songs just like these,” shares Rose. “In my opinion, these six songs are the most honest and accurate to who I am as an artist, and it doesn't happen without a creative village that believes I have something special to say to the world. It's been a minute since I've released music, so it's SO good to finally say that my songs 'True North' and 'Parking Lot' are out now, and my new EP Runnin' Outta Time is available on May 10. I can't wait for y'all to hear what I've been working on.” The upcoming EP promises to reveal Rose at her most personal and honest, bundling her beliefs and contradictions into six new songs that explain who she is, where she came from and where she's heading. As a co-writer on each track, the EP packed with Saturday-night energy and Sunday-morning reflection will serve as the perfect soundtrack for the intense push and pull in Rose's life, and a potent reminder of how important it is to take a breath and focus on the things that matter most. Today marks the release of “True North” and its official music video which finds a calming melody floating alongside the distinctiveness of Rose's signature vocal. Co-written by Rose, Trannie Anderson, Hillary Lindsey and David Garcia, it cleverly takes the negative connotation of age-old saying “when it all goes south” and flips it into the place full of nostalgic embrace – home. A vivid, map dot lyric travels the picturesque backdrop of her home state of Georgia, leaning refreshingly into a nostalgic vulnerability that places the listener in the shotgun seat of a southern escape, driven by the idea of slowing down life and revisiting your roots to reconnect your center. Accompanying “True North” is “Parking Lot,” a song laced in an addictive melodic drive that sees Rose adding her uniquely geared vocal to a fresh party anthem that instantly evokes a memory of your favorite coming of age moments. Proven to be a fan favorite in her live sets, the lyrics transport listeners to the carefree moments of their youth, when everything surrounded that small town gravel hub. Namechecking Keith Urban in her own 2009 memory, Rose showcases the very foundations of her love for Country music. Placing a reminiscing smile on your face, you relive your own “parking lot” stories of the life lived outside the painted lines that your parents never knew about, but that you can't ever forget. RUNNIN' OUTTA TIME TRACK LIST: 1. “The Goal” (Lily Rose, Paul DiGiovanni, Trannie Anderson, Seth Ennis) 2. “Back Pew” (Lily Rose, Emily Weisband, Andy Albert, Paul DiGiovanni) 3. “Parking Lot” (Lily Rose, Lindsay Rimes, John Pierce) 4. “True North” (Lily Rose, Trannie Anderson, Hillary Lindsey, David Garcia) 5. “Two Flowers” (Lily Rose, Blake Pendergrass, Paul DiGiovanni) 6. “Runnin' Outta Time” (Lily Rose, Lydia Vaughan, Blake Pendergrass, David Garcia) After a bucket list 2023 that included Rose featuring on Diplo's Country project, Thomas Wesley: Chapter 2 – Swamp Savant with EDM-Country banger “Sad in the Summer,” the artist with “a charismatic voice and killer Country hooks” (Hollywood Life) made television appearances on NBC's The Voice and ABC's Good Morning America. Throughout the summer and fall, the Georgia native toured alongside stylistic maverick Sam Hunt and Country pop-icon Shania Twain. Recently performing at Country 2 Country (C2C) across the pond last month, Rose nears the completion of her third consecutive year on the road with Hunt. As summer approaches, she'll share her new music on the road with Cole Swindell and Luke Bryan and at some of the summer's hottest fairs and festivals. Today, Sony Music Nashville/Columbia Records singer/songwriter Megan Moroney returns with her new song “28th of June” — a quietly gut-punching piano ballad that marks one of her most vulnerable offerings yet. Go here to listen to “28th of June” now.
Written by Moroney, Ben Williams, Mackenzie Carpenter, and Micah Carpenter, “28th of June” serves as the follow-up to “No Caller ID” — a January release that quickly set the record for the biggest Country female song debut in streams in the U.S., amassing 8.4 MILLION global streams in its first week alone. Like its predecessor, “28th of June” brings Moroney’s nuanced yet powerful songwriting to a bittersweet reflection on a broken relationship. This time around, the Georgia-bred artist explores one of the more devastating aspects of moving on from a breakup — the undeniable pain that hits when your would-be anniversary rolls around and stirs up so many hurtful memories (from the first verse: “Drank a bottle of red and opened up another/Danced around the room holding onto each other/Like we were never gonna let go/I was too naïve to know”). Recorded at the legendary Blackbird Studio in Nashville and produced by her frequent collaborator Kristian Bush — who also helmed production on her widely lauded debut album LUCKY — “28th of June” sets Moroney’s storytelling to a breathtakingly sparse, piano-driven arrangement adorned with plenty of lovely details, including graceful steel-guitar tones and Moroney’s delicate background vocals. As she narrates all the different dimensions of her heartbreak (the sting of nostalgia, the empty comfort of sleeping alone in her ex’s shirt, the raw betrayal of being replaced), Moroney ultimately infuses the song with all the dreamy sensitivity and unflinching honesty that audiences have come to expect from one of Country’s brightest young stars. The latest turn in what’s sure to be another powerhouse year for Moroney, “28th of June” arrives as Country’s It Girl has two singles in the Top 25 on Country radio: “I’m Not Pretty” (the magnetic opening track to LUCKY) and “Can’t Break Up Now” (her recent collaboration with Old Dominion). “28th of June” also follows the release of an all-acoustic version of “No Caller ID” from the Emo Cowgirl Live Sessions —check it out here. Along with dramatically expanding her following on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, “No Caller ID” earned raves from the likes of Rolling Stone, American Songwriter, Taste of Country, and Holler (who hailed it as “enchantingly hazy” and noted that the song “pivots around the poignant juxtaposition between the sweet, intricate instrumentation and the incisive, melancholic edge of the lyricism”). Next month, Moroney will embark on THE LUCKY 2.0 TOUR — a headlining run that sold out just five minutes after tickets went on sale in January. Solidifying her status as an in-demand headliner, her third consecutive headline tour kicks off on April 19 in Dothan, Alabama, and is currently set to continue through July 26 in Aspen, Colorado, with special guest Logan Crosby as support. Soon after completing that run, she’ll head overseas for the GEORGIA GIRL TOUR: a 15-date headlining tour of the UK and Europe, beginning on September 4 in Cardiff, UK, and wrapping up on September 27 in Zurich, Switzerland. This spring and summer, Moroney will also take the stage at stadiums across the country as support for Kenny Chesney’s SUN DOWN 2024 TOUR, in addition to appearing at high-profile festivals such as Stagecoach in April and Lollapalooza in August. For full tour dates and ticketing information, visit www.meganmoroney.com/. Thanks in part to the massive success of LUCKY — 2023 LP that propelled her to best-of-the-year lists from major outlets like The New York Times and Rolling Stone and delivered her 2X PLATINUM, No. 1 breakout “Tennessee Orange” — Moroney has emerged as one of five artists leading the nominations for the 2024 CMT Music Awards with three nods: Female Video of the Year (“I’m Not Pretty”), Collaborative Video of the Year for “Can’t Break Up Now” with Old Dominion, and Digital-First Performance of the Year (“I’m Not Pretty” from CMT Digital Campfire Sessions). The fan-voted award show airs live from Austin, Texas, on April 7 at 8 PM ET/PT on CBS, and will be available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+ (vote at vote.cmt.com). Moroney is also vying for three 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards; Best New Artist (Country), plus all-genre, fan-voted categories Favorite Debut Album and Social Star, broadcasting live April 1 at 8/7c on FOX (go here to vote now). PLATINUM-certified, GRAMMY-nominated artist and songwriter Anne Wilson gives fans another look at her forthcoming album, REBEL, with the highly-anticipated duet “Country Gold" (with Jordan Davis) today, March 22. Arriving in full on Friday, April 19, REBEL is a genre-defying collection capturing Wilson's signature faith-infused Country sound. Wilson also celebrates her first-time CMT Award nomination for Breakthrough Female Video of the Year for “Rain In The Rearview” which first premiered on the CMT/Paramount Time Square billboard in January.
Wilson's new collaboration with Davis comes just months after first sharing the stage with him at the 2023 ACM Honors for a live performance of “Buy Dirt.” Serving as the first of three duets on the album, “Country Gold” written by Wilson, Jeff Pardo and Matthew West, pulls inspiration from the biblical meaning of “gold” equating a symbol of spiritual wealth. Wilson and Davis expertly blend their unique, warm vocals as they weave heartfelt narratives from their family histories, emphasizing the joy found in life's simple moments. “I am so excited about my new song 'Country Gold' with Jordan Davis,” shares Wilson. “I'm a huge fan of Jordan's music, and I'm honored to have him join me. This song is all about roots and remembering where the good stuff in life really is. I love the line that says, 'the richest people that I've ever known struck country gold,' and I hope you do too. I can't wait for everyone to hear it!” Set to become “a cherished addition to the libraries of fans of both genres,” (Holler) REBEL will see Wilson joining forces with even more industry heavyweights. Still to come with the full album on April 19 is a duet with reigning 2023 CMA Entertainer of the year, Lainey Wilson, for “Praying Woman” and GRAMMY Award-winner Chris Tomlin for “The Cross.” A co-writer on each of the album's 16 tracks, Wilson teamed up with some of Music Row's most in-demand songwriters such as Nicolle Galyon, Emily Weisband, Matthew West and Trannie Anderson for a revolutionary project firmly rooted in both Country and Christian music, produced by Jeff Pardo and Jonathan Smith. Acclaimed Texas artist Amanda Kate Ferris’ new song, "Are You a Real Cowboy?" is out now! The track, which boasts a collaboration with 5X CMA Musician of the Year Jenee Fleenor, was penned by GRAMMY nominated songwriters Liz Rose and Sally Barris. Listen HERE.
“'Are You a Real Cowboy?” is a silly, flirty song that felt all too familiar the first time I heard it,” said Ferris. “Singing in bars as long as I have, I felt like this could be played at every Honky Tonk from California to Texas. Nowadays, everyone wants to be a Cowboy, and I don't blame them one bit. In a world where you can be anyone…let's all be Cowboys." Directed by Eli Viloria and filmed in Palmer, TX, the accompanying music video is also available now. Watch HERE. "Are You a Real Cowboy?" follows a string of major Texas country radio successes for Ferris. Her song, “Same Place Twice” with Chad Cooke Band, hit No. 1 on Texas country radio in February 2024 while her single “Tequila and Jesus” is currently Top 15 and rising on the same chart. She is also currently nominated for New Female Vocalist of the Year and Duo of the Year (with Chad Cooke Band) at the 2024 Texas Regional Radio Music Awards on March 25. “Are You a Real Cowboy?” is a preview into her forthcoming full-length project out later this year. The new music comes on the heels of two successful EPs, the self-titled Amanda Kate (2021) and Pedal Steel (2023), which feature songs written by GRAMMY-winners Lori McKenna, Lainey Wilson, Liz Rose, Hillary Lindsey, and Luke Laird. With nearly 3M total career streams, Ferris’ tenacity and authenticity are resonating with fans. Ferris has recently shared the stage with country music stars Tracy Lawrence, Josh Abbott Band, Priscilla Block, and Warren Zeiders in addition to her own headline and festival dates.
