Onoleigh breaks down walls and builds emotions in her new song “Walls.” Listen here. Co-written with Oates (Hall n Oates) and Nathan Chapman (multiple Taylor Swift credits), this song is so important because it emphasizes how healing music can be. “Walls" is healing because of how vulnerable it is. It’s like how we act better when we know people are watching- but this song is powerful because it is like looking into a mirror with no one around and being totally real and honest to yourself.” This song is about self-reflection and being true to yourself, especially when no one is watching.
Onoleigh envisions a future music video to include a little girl standing in her room, leaving to go to school and when she returns to her room, she is all grown up. She stands in front of a mirror and reflects on her life, herself, and how she got to where she is today. This song was written in the middle of Covid, and Onoleigh describes it as “epic and historical.” In a time with so much uncertainty and isolation from people, “Walls” not only accepts but embraces finding comfort in being alone and being able to ask the question of “who am I?” A former guidance counselor prior to pursuing her music career, Onoleigh is able to really connect with people. Her remarkable ability to harness compassion and empathy as a result of her experience has reached listeners on a powerful personal level with songs that are relatable and lean into what others are feeling. Leaving her career in social work to pursue her dreams, Onoleigh is an artist on the rise. She wants to thank her supporters and listeners saying, “I try to make my music be healing, but it is really my listeners that heal me.” Being on stage and being able to connect to so many people gives her a sense of self-expression and freeing power to do all that Onoleigh does. Fire spittin’ country artist and quadruple threat Jordan Rainer wraps up a notable year with major milestones under her belt and announces her 2024 Straight Shot Tour, officially kicking off in January. Jordan recently celebrated her very first No. 1 song on the Texas Regional Radio Charts with her current rock edge country song, Straight Shot. This single followed her previous chart-topping releases including Top 15 hit Damn Sandwich and Top 20 hit You Made A Rock, whom she teamed up with Texas Red-Dirt artist Shayne Porter. Earlier this year, she also took home the highly coveted trophy for New Female Vocalist of the Year at the Texas Country Music Awards as well as the New Faces of Texas Country Music Award.
She has garnered national and international print and TV exposure and received praise and support from some of the biggest artists in music including Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani, John Legend, Niall Horan, Wynonna, and Chance the Rapper, while being a contestant on The Voice. Dubbed by her fans as the woman in black, Jordan’s journey on Season 24 of The Voice proved that she is a household name. Her blind audition of Reba McEntire’s hit Fancy knocked the socks off the coaches with her authentic and true sound, thus receiving a four-chair turn which landed her a spot on Team Reba. This audition has since been viewed over 1.1M on The Voice’s official YouTube page. Since then, Jordan brought the same energy in every performance, impressing all the coaches and mentors and proving that she is earning her stake in country music. “Jordan, you are so different and that’s what we need in country music – your enthusiasm, your passion, your love for country music. We need you in there, absolutely...you are a force of nature!” – Reba McEntire “Wow. I love a woman who’s sassy. You’re a kick in the butt. We need that sound…that pure country twang…it’s just good.” – Wynonna Judd “It has been a dream to have my idol Reba McEntire as my coach,” says Jordan. “I have so much respect for all the coaches and mentors and have made some great friends along the way. This year has been amazing and I’m super excited for everything my team and I have planned for 2024. It’s going to be one heck of a year!” Already with a reputation as one of the hardest working women in the business, Jordan Rainer is an artist, songwriter, producer and guitarist. With over three quarters of a million followers just on TikTok, Jordan is reaching new fans daily with her music as well as her storytelling clips, which landed numerous Newsweek features and a nationalized televised appearance on the Tamron Hall show earlier this year, where she discussed women’s intuition and her brush with abduction. As a songwriter, she has written for other artists including Sundance Head’s #1 Texas hit Three People, as well as his title track for his previous album Stained Glass and Neon, and currently, some of her songs are on hold by major recording artists. 2024 Straight Shot TourDates can be found here. |
