Your favorite "Girl Next Door", Macy Krew, is back with a sassy new song. The highly-anticipated anthem, will have you strutting around with your head held high, reminding everyone that you're the girl [guy] they were looking for. Listen Here.
Studded in sparkles, "Girl Next Door" channels unapologetically being yourself, showing that you don’t have to fit the definition of the innocent ‘girl next door.’ It proves to be a fiercely catchy country song of remembering your hometown roots and owning your edgy differences to pave the way. The words pack a punch full of the brutal honesty Krew is known for, combining a classic 90's country sound with flairs of rock and modern twang. Krew says: "Don’t ever hold back who you are in life to fit a cheesy definition. Do what makes you happy regardless of what anyone thinks. Break the damn mold and celebrate that. Be the different kind of girl next door that unapologetically is cut from a new cloth.” Channeling the belts and soulfulness of Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, who shaped Macy into the artist she is today, this melody sparks you up and gets stuck in your head instantly. Continuing her firecracker of a successful career, this genuine artistry can't be beat. Writing alongside seasoned songwriters Nicole Croteau, Kelly Seidel, and Whitney Miller, and being produced by highly-accredited country music producer, Simon Reid (Sara Evans, Emily Ann Roberts, Haley Orrantia), this song will make a mark. Macy will be releasing a music video in the coming weeks, with the premiere set to be on CMT. There will be a release party held at The Listening Room the following Saturday, where Macy currently hosts an all-female show and has sold-out the venue 23 times. Country Barbie, Becca Bowen is sure to catch your eye with her energetic stage presence and unique blend of country gospel and pop. The South Carolina native has music in her genes. Her grandfather introduced her to the greats, Hank Williams Jr. and Patsy Cline. Meanwhile, on her mom’s side, everyone was a musician. Becca telling us, “Family reunions are off the charts.”
Wanting to pursue music full time, Becca moved to Nashville to connect with as many talented creatives as she could. Going into a write with the title on her mind, “Son of a Gun”, the song spilled out in only an hour. Not originally planning to release it, Becca would play “Son of a Gun” out at writer’s rounds and the response was so good, she had to release it. Her most recent release “If I’m Being Honest” reflects on getting over a breakup and realizing that there are better fish in the sea.
