Dani Rose released her latest single, "Good Mourning," today Friday, May 31. Dani Rose has been hiding a body, and she's ready to confess, inviting all to a celebration of life for her former self. After gracing the Academy of Country Music Awards' red carpet in Frisco, TX, she's excited to welcome fans to her next chapter, backed by a rockin' country soundtrack with shocking lyrics.
"I’m officially laying the old me to rest and throwing one hell of a party. You’re invited!" Dani exclaims. "Good Mourning" is accompanied by a beautiful, late 60s-inspired music video debuting the first week of June. Soon, viewers can join Dani on her journey to bury the body and crash the wake. Dani Rose co-wrote "Good Mourning" with Candi Carpenter, Alden Witt and Aaron Kessler. The song was co-produced by Jaxon Hargrove (prior work with Ashley McBryde, Brothers Osborn and Little Big Town), Alden Witt, Aaron Kessler and Candi Carpenter. Preview the lyrics below: I've been hiding a body in the back of my heart, rolled up in a carpet like a secret in the trunk of my car. My former self is dead. My hands are crimson red. She's too heavy to carry, follow me to the cemetery. With sync placements on four episodes of Paramount’s Yellowstone, and additional songs on CBS’s Fire Country, HBO's True Blood, CMT’s Nashville, The CW's Roswell and Fox's Monarch, it's no surprise Dani Rose has drawn reviews from the likes of Taylor Sheridan, creator of Yellowstone, who said, “I’ve got a pretty good knack for finding the next big star…miss Dani Rose and I think you’ll really like her.“ Tiffany Woys has always been a singer but only recently did she become a songwriter. It took some tumultuous and heartbreaking life experiences, including a broken engagement weeks before the wedding, shared in an exclusive interview with People, for her to take the leap into writing her own story through her own songs. Her raw and personal heartbreak and hope is palpable in her upcoming EP, I’m Your Woman, available today, May 31.
Tiffany co-wrote six of the EP’s eight songs, including “Took Back” and the title track/lead single, “I’m Your Woman,” currently rising on the Mediabase Activator Chart. The EP also features “You And Country Music.” The video for the track premieres exclusively on June 1 on The Country Network. "This project represents so much growth for me, in so many ways,” shares Tiffany. “A huge life event catapulted me into discovering the songwriter in me. I had never released music thus far that I had been a writer on. I loved being a vehicle for great songs, however, I finally hit a wall where I had to write my own story. I had to use my own experiences to help tell my story. It made me not only grow as an artist but as a person. I’m so proud to be a co-writer on the majority of this new music. I share a sense of pride that I can sing about not just things I relate to but that actually come from the deepest parts of my heart. It’s been meaningful to participate in a community I feel so much respect for. Without songwriters we don’t have music. I am so grateful for my cowriters who helped me take this next step on my journey and helped me create little pieces of my heart and make it reality for everyone to hear.” The EP is a potent collection of songs that encompass a wide range of emotions brought to life by Woys’ hauntingly beautiful voice. Noelle Toland is releasing a fun summer single, "(I'm Just A) Wino". This song is available on all digital streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.
There’s nothing like a high-spirited drinking song to kick off the summer season. Noelle perfectly captures all the fun of a night out on the town with (I'm Just A) Wino. "I started writing (I'm Just A) Wino with my friend Tyler Winther when I happened to be in Los Angeles for a few days. We were in his kitchen and I was pouring a glass of Sancerre,” Noelle recalls. “He had his guitar out, and we had this funny spark of a moment where we were talking about life then we said ‘but what do I know, I'm just a wino!’ We laughed and instantly knew we had the seed of a drinkin’ song.” The vision behind the song is a familiar one for fans of the wildly popular TV show - Yellowstone. Noelle and Tyler, both huge fans of the show, were picturing the iconic Beth Dutton with her kick-ass attitude and sarcasm as they wrote the song. Produced by Philippe Bronchtein (Chase Rice’s utility instrumentalist, playing pedal steel, banjo, dobro, and keyboards for Pony Bradshaw and Mickey Guyton, among others), (I'm Just A) Wino is an upbeat track backed by a banjo leading the way for a classic country sound. In the words of Noelle herself, this single is “…a real boot kicker, line dancin’, throw em back drinking song.” Be sure to grab a glass of your favorite wine and sing along. Following the success of her previously released 90’s country covers Walkaway Joe and It Matters To Me, as well as her original releases and EP, Noelle continues to reach into the depths of our souls in a beautiful way. She has received critically-acclaimed praise in numerous publications, achieved success on curated playlists including “New In Country” on Apple Music, been nominated for Country Evolution’s Artist to Watch, and received national and international airplay in Australia, Europe, Ireland, London, Switzerland, and the U.K. Noelle is scheduled to release new original music throughout the year, as well as one more 90’s country cover which will complete her 3 song 90’s cover project. She is also gearing up for more shows and performances, including appearances at this year’s CMA Music Festival. To stay up-to-date, visit her website. Today, rising country star Kassi Ashton serves up a smoky and sultry new song with “I Don’t Wanna Dance” out now via MCA Nashville. Listen to/share the new song HERE.
Across the track, softly strummed acoustic chords and slide guitar rustle beneath Kassi’s undeniable bluesy vocals. Meanwhile, her words weigh heavy on the beat’s slow burn as an eighties-style guitar lick echoes. The emotional push-and-pull culminates with a confession on the chorus, “I don’t wanna dance if I ain’t dancing with you.” On the new song, Kassi shares, “"It doesn't matter how good the band is, how long the bartender has been perfecting her margarita recipe, or how hot the cowboy is who's offering, I don't wanna dance if I ain't dancing with you". Stay tuned for a whole lot more music news from Kassi Ashton! |
