Get ready with us as Noelle Toland premieres her new music video for her latest single, You’re An Arrow! Watch here. Co-written with Tyler Winther, the song is exactly what you need to hear if you are dealing with strong emotions or going through some of life’s big changes.
This video is so special because it includes some home videos of one-year-old Noelle playing with her mom. Toland reminisces, saying “I’ve made countless calls to both my parents lamenting on why things aren’t working out, why my heart aches or why every day is a struggle sometimes. This song and video is a reminder for me and others that no matter how far you wander, you are never alone and you are never lost.” These beautiful sentiments were inspired by a Kahlil Gibran poem called “On Children” that Toland’s father sent her when she was struggling with her path in music and in life. The notion of being one’s own arrow and guide through life inspired not just a cute arrow tattoo on Toland’s neck, but an amazing song as well.
Part of Toland’s favorite aspect of music is the story and the meaning behind the lyrics. She loves going to writers’ rounds and listening to not just the new songs but also the artist voices behind the music. Toland encourages all new, and old, artists to “work hard to figure out what makes you different- then lean into that. Do not try to just fit in with the crowd.” She brings up Lainey Wilson as a great example of someone who is totally authentic and unapologetically herself. Noelle tries to embody that every time she sits down for a writing session, gets on stage, and even just gets out of bed each morning. Being completely authentic to Toland is to continue performing and sharing her music and message to all those who will hear them. “As cheesy as it may sound, the closest to God I have ever felt is when I am performing on stage. It gives me purpose.”
Toland is getting ready for a nonstop year filled with performing and releasing music in 2024. Witness Noelle Toland LIVE in Nashville at her next show Mimosas & Music at the Hard Rock Cafe on December 3rd, tickets are free, but reservations are suggested. Contact Hard Rock and book your table now.
