The 2018 CMA Award nominees were announced by Luke Bryan, Dan + Shay, and Sugarland on Good Morning America August 28th. With an all too predictable lineup, we choose to compare the number of female artists to male artists who received nominations this year. Of the 60 total nominees 72% were given to males, 15% were given to females, and 13% were given to mixed duos or groups. Additionally 8% of the nominees given to women were for Female Vocalist of the Year and all five Entertainer of the Year nominees were given to male vocalists.
