Esteemed songwriter Harper O’Neill has released her new EP “Guilty” and we had the honor of interviewing her for the very first time. The title track was co-written with John Davidson and Jacob Bryant of The Brummies and is her memaw’s favorite. “Guilty” is about that overwhelming feeling of loving someone that maybe you were surprised to love, or that people don't think you should love. Harper’s sultry vocals and smooth melodies will leave you guilty of singing along. The perfect introduction to her EP, which features “Guilty”, “When You Love Me”, and the brand new song “I Was Always Yours”. Listen to the EP HERE.
After graduating from UT Austin, Harper made the move to Nashville to pursue her dreams. Four years later she caught the eye of BMI’s Jody Williams, who found Harper on TikTok. Now she’s signed to Jody Willams Songs, a co-venture with Warner Chapell Music, and couldn’t feel more supported. “He [Jody Williams] has such a great understanding of what I’m doing and trying to do,” she began. “They put me with the best writers for what I do, and made the best tweaks to the songs. The support has been just night and day from what I had going on.” She is set to open for not one, but three badass ladies - Lainey Wilson, Morgan Wade, and Ashley McBryde. Harper has co-written with Wilson and McBryde, describing them as having undeniable talent and forces to be reckoned with.
