Country artist and songwriter Parker Graye will be releasing her newest single, “Last Time” on June 18th. Riding the wave of success from her last single, “Before You Leave”, Graye says, “The last year has been life changing. Since I’ve released my debut single, I’ve written some of my favourite songs, met artists and songwriters who I now consider some of my best friends. I finally feel like I’ve found my place, my purpose and my voice. It’s a special time and I’m so excited for what’s next!”

Graye began the cathartic process of writing “Last Time” by emptying the years of dishonesty of a previous relationship all onto paper, saying it was the most vulnerable she had ever been in a session. For those that have blindly loved someone and fantasized about a future with that person only to realize what you had was never really real, this song is for you. After performing the song at a showcase in March of 2020 and noticing how silent the room was, she knew it connected with her audience. Graye is undoubtedly a songwriter who has an extraordinary talent of connecting through her emotive storytelling.

Inspired by the likeness of Caitlyn Smith, Cam, Ingrid Andress and Maren Morris - Parker Graye is on a mission to make country music sad again. Graye has been named “The Next Big Thing” by Casey Clarke and has even debuted at the BC Country Music Breakthrough Project. Originally from Ontario, she made the move to Vancouver in 2010. This is where she began her journey as a singer-songwriter while also learning the business side of the industry such as booking tours, creative direction, and pitching with an independent manager. Her passion for music was evident when she began choreographing dance moves with a Spice Girls microphone in hand as a child. Proving that you can be successful without coming from a musically inclined household she says, “I didn’t grow up in a musical household but I was obsessed with music. I’d spend hours listening to my tapes and CD’s until the internet opened up a whole new world to discovering music and artists.”

In the last year, Parker has spent each day in up to 3 writing sessions per day with artists, producers and songwriters across Canada and the US. Not limiting herself to the Country genre, she has collaborated on projects ranging from Punk to Pop to Folk. Parker Graye is about to take not only Country music by storm, but we’re pretty sure you’ll be hearing her on radio stations across the board. Pre-save her upcoming release, “Last Time” here.
