Surrounded by the sounds of Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline as a child, Lisa Mary found herself singing around her house in Sterling Heights Michigan. In her teen years, Lisa began to compete in singing competitions and became familiar with the sounds of modern country artists Miranda Lambert and Kacey Musgraves. Lisa also picked up the art of the guitar in her teen years which inspired her to start writing her own music. Lisa writes of her own experiences as well as stories from the lives of her friends and family which Lisa feels are worthy of sharing.
In 2014 with the help of co-writer Greg Stryker, Lisa released her debut single Tie Her Down that resulted in radio play and concert inquires. Upon her success, Lisa was inclined to complete her own original EP entitled Shades of Blue. Determined to make a name for herself, Lisa set off to perform around the country and has opened for big names such as Eric Palsy and Martha Reeves. As the CMA Fest lineups are being announced this week, Lisa is excited to share that she will also be performing there again this year before she heads off to open for Toby Keith and Lo Cash. As for the future, Lisa is all about releasing new music and plans to complete her first full-length album this June in the hopes that people can get to know more about her as an artist through her own personal experiences. So stay tuned for more from the the artist that never turns down any opportunity by following Lisa on social media @lisamarymusic and on her website at http://www.lisamarymusic.com/.
