Mother daughter duo 2Steel Girls out of Jackson County, Ohio found music was a passion they shared. Inspired by the songs of Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash, the duo writes their music from an honest place not afraid to express emotion. Praising country music for its ability to tell a story, the duo also writes stories which reflect personal experiences.
Their recent single In My Head speaks to those going through tough times. An emotional ride long with a slower ballad, In My Head has a powerful impact on listeners. For a more upbeat sound the duo also released Queen Bee, which celebrates being yourself and encourages people lifting one another up.
Now the 2Steel Girls are in the process of completing their debut album. Featuring 11 tracks, the album is set to be released this June. In the meantime check out the duo’s music on iTunes and Spotify and on their website at http://2steelgirls.com/.
I am currently a student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles as a marketing major. Upon realizing that I wanted to change the way people perceive country music and to help women have a voice, I began The Women of Country in 2015 promoting new female artists and sharing their stories with the world.
