Watch out for Sister Sadie, an all-female group made up of musicians Dale Ann Bradley, Tina Adair, Gena Britt, Deanie Richardson, and Beth Lawrence. Starting off as friends, the ladies of Sister Sadie booked a show together. After a successful show and realizing that they harmonized well together, Sister Sadie formed.
The group’s latest project Sister Sadie II, was released this August and includes 12 tracks which convey the band’s journey. With a bluegrass sound Sister Sadie’s music reminds you of Bluegrass star Alison Krauss, who complimented the group saying “Sister Sadie is an inspiring musical collaboration bringing together some of the best women bluegrass music has ever claimed.”
Now performing at Bluegrass festivals across the nation, Sister Sadie is aiming to make new fans along the way. Hear Sister Sadie’s new album now and find their full tour schedule on their website at http://www.sistersadieband.com/.
I am currently a student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles as a marketing major. Upon realizing that I wanted to change the way people perceive country music and to help women have a voice, I began The Women of Country in 2015 promoting new female artists and sharing their stories with the world.
