Artist Rylie Bourne has country music in her blood. Following in the footsteps of her father who played the guitar, Rylie attended many bluegrass festivals as a child later learning how to play the guitar herself. In her teens Rylie began playing at open mic nights and soon thereafter decided to pursue a career in music.
New to songwriting but excited to try new things, Rylie found her voice creating songs which have deep and dark melodies and creative lyrics. In 2017 Rylie graduated from Segue 61 where she met her current duo partner Damon Atkins. Wanting to build a fanbase this summer, the two are hitting the road.
So listen to Rylie’s new single Shoot to Kill on iTunes and Spotify or on her website at www.ryliebourne.com.
I am currently a student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles as a marketing major. Upon realizing that I wanted to change the way people perceive country music and to help women have a voice, I began The Women of Country in 2015 promoting new female artists and sharing their stories with the world.
