Canadian artist Rose Cora was introduced to music at a young age. Being enrolled in vocal lessons from the age of four and writing songs of her own by age seven, it wasn’t a surprise when Rose founded HER Records at the age of fifteen. The record label provided a professional platform for her first rock band and continues to do so today despite Rose departing as a solo artist in 2010.
Inspired by random occurrences in her life, Rose’s music is relatable and expresses her own emotions. In 2016 Rose released her second solo album, Onto The Floor. The album reflects Rose’s passion for each track and is best experienced as an acoustic set. In fact Rose often performs songs from the album acoustically, bringing her closer to her audience. On tour Rose paired up with The Truth Untold, who brought her music to a whole new level. Knowing that the best artists challenge themselves and go beyond their comfort zone Rose is taking their act to the states, performing tomorrow (January 23rd) in Los Angeles at Whiskey A Go Go. The show begins at 8:00 and admission is free.

I am currently a student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles as a marketing major. Upon realizing that I wanted to change the way people perceive country music and to help women have a voice, I began The Women of Country in 2015 promoting new female artists and sharing their stories with the world.
