After a month-long vocal rest, Charly Reynolds is back in action with her new song, “She Ain’t Me.” This new female anthem is inspired by an ex-boyfriend who thought he found a better girl, but as stated by Charly herself, “she [just] ain’t me.” Electric, fun, and custom-built to be played as loud as your poor speakers can go, Reynolds unearths a bit of a different side of herself.
Charly had to take a month off of both singing and speaking altogether, due to an injury to her vocal cords performing while being sick. She says “I always felt like a flake saying no so I would say yes to every show, even when it wasn’t good for my health.” Now taking vocal training from a coach, she is learning to take care of herself and her voice. She is now gearing up for the release of her debut EP, “Perfect Timing”, which comes out this Friday, June 23rd. The 6-track EP will include “She Ain’t Me” and the summertime anthem “Top Off.” Charly remembers “It was only February and I remember saying how it felt like a day to listen to Tim McGraw, the kind where you drive going nowhere with the windows down. So me, Nicole Croteau & Eric Wikman strived to write one of those feel-good summer songs that give the same feeling, and I think we did just that!” Pre-save the EP here.
