With a passion for music since the day she turned five, Kim Martin was destined to pursue a career as an artist. Born and raised in Hacienda Heights, a suburb of Los Angeles, country music wasn’t Kim’s only love. Kim also enjoyed listening to classic rock, blues, and R&B, but found she most resonated with country music after picking up the bass guitar at the age of fourteen.

Chasing after her destiny, Kim attended the Berklee College of Music as a performance major. Having played as a member of many cover bands, Kim finally found the right group of people and began to write her own music. Always a creative person, Kim found songwriting to be just as enjoyable as performing and quickly wrote her first self written EP entitled Heart and Soul. Found writing of real life experiences as well as fictional stories inspired by tv shows and movies, Kim hopes her stories show a more personal side of herself. With a contemporary southern rock sound, Kim’s music reflects her Old Southern Soul as does her newest EP.

Performing up to five times a week, Kim is always busy sharing her story with others. Inspired by Miranda Lambert and Gretchen Wilson, Kim isn’t afraid to be a little sassy up on stage and her audience loves it. Not about to give up music anytime soon, Kim hopes to sign a management deal and continue to make noise about her EP in the hopes for a radio tour.

You can find Kim’s music as well as her tour schedule and much more on her website http://www.kimmartinmusic.com/.
