With her dad as her inspiration, Maggie Thorn knew she could achieve anything. Starting to sing at the age of fourteen and learning to play the guitar less than a year later, Maggie was quick to feel at home while sharing her music.
Growing up in Missouri, Maggie lived a southern lifestyle listening to Sara Evans and Loretta Lynn as a child. With a traditional style and writing of personal stories, Maggie’s music is relatable and has the ability to influence others in many different ways. Taking stories from those around her and presenting another side of herself in her next album The Other Side, Maggie hopes to paint a picture in her listener’s minds. Speaking of real life situations, Maggie isn’t afraid of expressing her own opinions in her music. And with the help of her father on the guitar and Dolly Parton who wrote 'Light of a Clear Blue Morning,' the album’s twelfth track, The Other Side can be enjoyed by people of any age. Now off traveling alongside her father, Maggie is busy promoting the album’s release and sharing her passion with others. Having been nominated for three Josie Awards this year, Maggie is confident that she’s making a name for herself and can’t wait to see what’s next.
