From singing karaoke in her room to performing at Belcourt Taps, Maddie Lane is well on her way to a successful career in music. Picking up the guitar in college and writing her first song after a breakup, country music’s relatability and storytelling drew her to Nashville.
Growing up to The Chicks and Sugarland, Maddie prefers classic country instruments such as the mandolin and steel guitar which appear in her new single “Country in You.” Saying “The addition of both instruments created this bright, nostalgic sound, which really captured the romance of the storyline.” The song was written as a love story, depicting Maddie’s love for being out in the country. To promote the song, Maddie hosts livestreams on social media noting, “It's amazing how people can come together through music, especially during a time like this!” Moving forward, she plans to release an EP by the end of the year.
