With 90’s country artists lining the walls of her childhood home, Emma King knew she wanted her musical journey to take her to Nashville. Inspired by CASH, Fleetwood Mac, and the Dixie Chicks for their daring attitudes, Emma’s music creates a space for listeners to feel something. Emma chooses to write from a vulnerable place, allowing for the listener to relate to her music. Always creating new content, Emma is finding her voice through the songwriting process. Wanting to create the most authentic sound possible, her next EP “The Sun and the Blues” was recorded at The House of Blues.
Performing in the UK and Nashville, Emma can often be found at the Bluebird Cafe. During CMA Fest, she also had the chance to represent her country. Looking to travel across America, Emma is open to performing at as many quirky bars she can.
Stay tuned for the release of “The Sun and The Blues” on July 26th and find Emma’s music on YouTube and her website www.emmakingmusic.com.
I am currently a student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles as a marketing major. Upon realizing that I wanted to change the way people perceive country music and to help women have a voice, I began The Women of Country in 2015 promoting new female artists and sharing their stories with the world.
