Eileen Carey says to put yourself first in her new single “Keep Your Love to Yourself.” Released on July 27th, the track depicts a woman moving on from a toxic relationship. A relatable topic to many, the lyric video reached over 100k views in its first month. You can watch it here.
Eileen is originally from Cleveland, where she performed in her school’s choir and theater programs. Although influenced by rock and pop artists such as The Beetles and Sheryl Crow, the storytelling drew her to country music. Finding inspiration from her surroundings, whether it’s sitting in traffic or over hearing others on the street, Eileen wants to capture positive moments in her songs. “Eileen Carey is an accomplished storyteller and an effective, appealing stylist while making music that deftly combines country influences with pop arrangements. Her songs also offer distinct, prominent messages about personal empowerment and emotional fulfillment,” says Nashville Music Guide’s Ron Wynn. While in quarantine, Eileen has been writing and hopes to release new music in 2021. A veteran of the stage, she has performed at iconic venues in Los Angeles and Nashville including The Mint and the Bluebird Café.
