New Jersey artist Karly C has released her song "Another Drink or Three" today, March 21st. Growing up, Karly heard lots of country music around the house, especially Martina McBride and Faith Hill. She started singing at just 10 years old with a karaoke machine in her bedroom and she even taught herself to play Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey on the piano! She looks up to artists like Ashley McBryde and Luke Combs, but also Adele. You may think Adele does not fit in with the others, but Karly has a wide range of vocal style that can go “from sweet and soft at times to raw and gritty” along with her signature rasp.
The "Another Drink or Three" singer has gotten to work and collaborate with Dylan Maloney, Mike Johnson (Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire, Willie Nelson), and Billy Decker (Darius Rucker and Sam Hunt) among many others. Karly would describe her songwriting method as she “sits down at the piano first and starts with chords while [I] hum a melody. Then [I’ll] fill in that melody with lyrics”. She would give the advice to aspiring artists coming up of “ALWAYS be yourself! Because if you try and chase trends and emulate others, you’ll always be a dollar short and a day late!” You can find her across all streaming services and social media (@officialkarlyc on Instagram, @KarlyCMusic on Facebook), and check out her website for more information.
