Today CMT announced their Next Women of Country Class of 2019 at Nashville’s CIty Winery. Introduced by Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild, the inductees include Anna Vaus, Emily Hackett, Ingrid Andress, Lainey Wilson, Lauren Duski, Leah Turner, Rachel Wammack, Stephanie Quayle, and Tenille Townes.
Additionally, CMT announced that Cassadee Pope will be headlining next year’s Next Women of Country Tour with Clare Dunn and Hannah Ellis. Dates and ticket information to come.
Heading this project is Leslie Fram who has continuously showed support for female artists since the Tomategate began in 2015. During today’s event Leslie awarded Maren Morris with The Impact Award, which is presented to a named artist who has paved the way for women in country music to follow.
