 From New York to Nashville! Jenna Torres has arrived in Music City. Torres’ new music video for her song “Where The Love Is” can be seen below. Growing up in New York, Jenna could feel the music within her. Jenna played in various bands growing up, but it was not until she discovered the profession of songwriting which she has not gone back on since. The feeling of music within her is how she starts her unique songwriting process, as she likes to paint a picture in her mind of a song she sees and feels. Jenna chose country music because “there is something so powerful and the way country music appreciates and embraces women, not just girls. It may be unspoken, but there is a reverence for the wisdom and worth of a woman's journey.” While she may have been born in the Big Apple, her soul is drawn to the language, sounds, and sincerity of country music. “It’s not anything I actually think about, it’s just what I do naturally.” Torres has learned to listen to her own voice and be true to it, regardless of whether it fits into a box that has already been made or not. Torres idolizes the one and only queen of country music Dolly Parton, but also states Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow, and Brandi Carlile as her inspiration among many others in the field as she has an endless love for artists!
