“It’s a New Day” for FIREROSE

​Australian artist FIREROSE has released a new song with country music legend Billy Ray Cyrus! New Day can be found here. FIREROSE grew up in Sydney, Australia and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a music career. FIREROSE taught herself how to play piano and always wrote songs growing up because that is “what I did to understand the world”. FIREROSE grew up in a classical music family so she had to find music on her own. She had to listen to other music separate from her family. FIREROSE Knew of Billy Ray Cyrus, Dolly Parton, and Shania Twain but she was not exposed to them by her family. In addition to classical music, FIREROSE heard Elvis Presley’s Jailhouse Rock and even danced to that song on stage at the Sydney Opera House! Today, FIREROSE looks up to artists like Alanis Morissette and Sia. 
 
In addition to Alanis Morissette and Sia, FIREROSE has known country music legend Billy Ray Cyrus for 10 years! The two met 10 years ago at a studio where Hannah Montana was filmed at the time, and he invited her to a recording studio to write and record within the first year of them meeting. FIREROSE would describe her sound as “Hypnotic, influenced by country, pop, and rock. If it speaks to my soul and it sounds right. My sound is an extension of my soul”. FIREROSE could see herself putting out a country song because “Country music is made of authenticity and truth and I am authentic and truthful”. 
 
The Australian born singer wrote “New Day” by the melody as it came to her one day and she originally recorded the idea for the song on her phone, and then Billy Ray Cyrus sent her his guitar playing to add to the song.  She has worked with Pedro Calloni (Joy Oladokun, Dave Mathews Band, and Mary J. Blige) to produce her music. FIREROSE loves performing and seeing the audience’s reaction to her music. Although she is from Australia and currently lives in Los Angeles, she would love to play and tour in middle America like Tennessee and Kentucky. FIREROSE would tell aspiring artists “Don’t give up, keep going, write from your heart and soul because people want to hear that”. She can’t wait to perform New Day live!
