With the help of her father who kicked started her career, Corinne McKnight set out to pursue her music further. After dipping her toe in theatre as a child, Corinne applied to The Artist Development Network. There she was able to collaborate with other songwriters and find her own voice.
Inspired by the works of Maren Morris and Kacey Musgraves along with pop artists Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran, Corinne’s music blends pop with country. Now living in Music City where she recently graduated from Belmont University, she’s ready to take her music to the next level. Giving her songs a personal touch, Corinne recently released “Pretty Flowers.” The track which she has been able to perform at various venues including The Row and The Bowery Vault.
You can hear Corinne’s music on this week’s Top Ten Tuesday Playlist and on her website at https://corinnemcknight.com/.
I am currently a student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles as a marketing major. Upon realizing that I wanted to change the way people perceive country music and to help women have a voice, I began The Women of Country in 2015 promoting new female artists and sharing their stories with the world.
