It’s hard to believe that Trinity Woodhouse is yet to graduate from high school.  The Hunter Valley girl, who grew up singing songs around the campfire, has years of performing experience under her belt, but now her music is hitting the airwaves and the future is looking even brighter than those childhood campfires.

‘Bouquet’ is the first song Woodhouse wrote with Troy Kemp and as soon as it was finished, she knew she loved it. ‘It has changed so much, from when it was written to how I took it into recording to how it came out,’ says Woodhouse, ‘and I’ve loved each version of it more and more.’ The track was recorded atEndomusia Studios with Josh Schuberth, who has worked with artists including Judah Kelly, The Wolfe Brothers, John Williamson and Lyn Bowtell, the latter of whom sang back-up vocals on ‘Bouquet’.

The music video is the first that Woodhouse has filmed, and she looks back on it as one of her greatest memories as an artist. ‘I still can’t believe that this is the stage that my music is at,’ she says. ‘These are things I only dreamed about as a kid, so to be there on the day of filming – smiling, laughing, feeling every moment – was so surreal.’

The video was produced by Duncan Toombs from The Filmery at Buttai Barn. It’s a light-hearted look at a speed dating scenario with four not-so-desirable guys as the potential dates. ‘It’s a bit of fun, just like the song,’ says Woodhouse, who is still riding the high of the whole process. It’s refreshing, given her already impressive career, which has seen her win the ICMA Patti McKinnon Award for Emerging Artists and make the semi-finals of the 2019 Gympie Muster Talent Quest.

Woodhouse has also performed at the Tamworth County Music Festival every year since 2017 and headlined the 2020 Macksville Muster. Add to this a number of impressive supports and performances with, or alongside, artists like Troy Kemp, Matt Scullion, Damien Leith and The Wolfe Brothers, and you’ve got a recipe for sustained success in the future.

Having been awarded the ‘Young Female Achiever of the Year’ Australia Day Award at the Cessnock area’s 2020 Australia Day Ceremony, Woodhouse has already captured the hearts and ears of her local region. Now, ‘Bouquet’ is set to build on Woodhouse’s debut single ‘Me and Sandy’ and introduce her to a national audience, and she’s unlikely to stay a bridesmaid clutching the bouquet for long.
