Thursday night at 3rd & Lindsley was one for the books! The night was hosted by Savannah Burrows with additional full band performances by Molly Forbes and Maura Streppa. Filled with a diverse mix of covers and stunning originals by each artist, the audience was blown away!
Molly Forbes kicked off the night with an explosive rendition of the well-loved song, “My Church”. The former Belmont student owned the stage with her sparkly dress and fabulous white boots. Her originals were sassy and fun to sing along to too. Following her was the melodic and beautiful Maura Streppa. Maura’s originals told her story and you could hear her friends and family singing along to every song. She came into her own at the end of the set, showcasing her impressive range and witty personality. Free-spirited Savannah Burrows closed out the show to celebrate her song “Don’t Mean Jack” coming out at midnight. Backed by a 7-piece band including a lovely fiddle, she strutted onto the stage showcasing her countryside with “Truck Boy”. Never wanting to bring down the mood, she teed up even her sad songs with a smile. “It’s kinda sad but we’re gonna pretend that it’s not”, she reassured the crowd. Midway through the California native asked her band to take a break for her song “Cowboy for Cali.” About not fitting into any mold, she told the crowd “I’m from LA, but I don’t fit the stereotype. I do a little bit of country, a little bit of pop. I might never fit in, but it’s okay. I’m gonna be whatever I want to be. Me!” Savannah brought her band back on stage to perform her highly anticipated song “Don’t Mean Jack”. The dive bar tale was backed by high energy and incredible vocal range. An absolute sweetheart, Savannah thanked everyone from her label to her co-writers and even The Women of Country. She left everyone wanting more, made clear by the room chanting “encore” when she left the stage. She returned to the stage for one more and made sure to hug everyone on the way out. Keep an eye out for this fabulous trio - Savannah Burrows, Molly Forbes, and Maura Streppa and stream “Don’t Mean Jack” here!
