UK country singer Lucy Blu isn’t afraid to stand out from the crowd. Inspired by country music’s Brandy Clark, Cam, and Kacey Musgraves, Lucy speaks about her feelings towards what’s happening in the world as well as writes about her own personal experiences in her music. With a diverse sound that is never set in stone, Lucy’s music has the ability to appeal to anyone.
Most recently Lucy had the chance to perform at the Hard Rock Cafe in London. There she had the chance to perform her latest single Worst Than Whiskey which debuted on March 16th. Now working on her debut album, Lucy is excited to share the next chapter in her story knowing that "The greatest songs always have a story to tell. Whatever the subject matter, whether it's an upbeat or tongue in cheek romp, or a heartfelt and soulful ballad, it's the world you build around your song that really draws people in, catches their attention and touches their emotions."
So stay tuned for more from Lucy Blu as she sets out on the UK Country Music Circuit this summer and check out Worse Than Whiskey on iTunes and Spotify and on her website at http://www.lucybluofficial.com/.
I am currently a student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles as a marketing major. Upon realizing that I wanted to change the way people perceive country music and to help women have a voice, I began The Women of Country in 2015 promoting new female artists and sharing their stories with the world.
