 Two years ago, Emily Kate would have never imagined she would be where she is now. Her debut single, “Giant” is now streaming on Sirius XM radio. She sings, “One day I’m going to shake the ground because I can do everything I want to, I can be anything.” Emily now gives the same advice to new artists saying, “If you surround yourself with the right people, take any opportunity that comes your way, and believe in yourself - then anything is possible.”
The fast-rising Canadian country singer/songwriter grew up in Toronto, Ontario. Growing up as a triplet, she was incredibly active and played many sports. Her main hobbies include playing piano and practicing guitar. Emily’s household has always been filled with love and support for her career. She was always the one humming tunes around the house and singing in the shower. Her musical family impacted her life in unforgettable ways. After graduating from Laurier University with a degree in Business, she was at a crossroads. Knowing that she would never be happy settling for an office job, she believed in herself and knew she had a dream to chase. Emily feels truly happy when songwriting, singing, and performing. The deep connection felt between the music and the audience is what makes her feel right at home. She has no doubt that this is what she was born to do and will continue to do for the rest of her life. As an emerging artist, she feels that it is important for her songs to represent her life and journey. All of Emily’s songs are thought provoking and provide important life lessons to the listener. Feeling inspired by the storytelling of artists like Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Kelsea Ballerini, and Tenille Townes, Emily knew that she wanted to connect to her audience in the same way. Working with Publicity Nation, a PR company based out of Nashville, and with her producer, Shawn Moore, she has been able to focus on releasing new music. She plans on doing a Canadian Radio tour after her debut EP comes out. Emily can see herself opening for artist Old Dominion and fellow Canadian artists, Brett Kissel, Leah Daniels, David Boyd Janes.
