Fall in love with every side of WILDWOOD! I spoke to lead singer Anne Buckle who has recently been seen performing at the iconic Bluebird Café. Anne with her husband, a producer, released “The Woods” EP, a country, folk record perfect for a rainy day. Listen here. Anne’s inspirations - Adele, Shania Twain, and Taylor Swift. The lead single off “The Woods” titled “Mountain City,” speaks about her favorite childhood memories. Anne spent her summers in the mountains of Virginia with her mom’s family. There she fell in love with music, she the cousin-in-law of the great Johnny Cash.
Anne is also a fiddle player and has toured with Augustana and The Chicks. She is proud to be part of the Country Music Hall of Fame’s nationally acclaimed Words & Music and Songwriting 101 programs at the Taylor Swift Education Center, where she teaches songwriting to hundreds of K-12 students annually. Stay tuned for a full-length album complete with “the woods, and the wild side!” You can find WILDWOOD at sheiswildwood.com.
