Alison Turner has just released the very first song of her career! The debut song “Don’t Wanna Be Friends” can be found here. Growing up in Morgan Hill, California, Turner spent her early days in Mommy and Me music classes, and eventually making her way to the stage of her local country music festival Boots & Brews, one that has had featured Lindsey Ell, Maddie and Tae, and Carly Pearce in the past. While at the festival, she has gotten to see some of today’s biggest artists play before they achieved superstar status. Turner always knew that she wanted to pursue a career within the music industry because “people get to do what they love, and they are not doing it for the money”.
Turner, who just finished her freshman year at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, started writing songs while in high school and credits her inspirations to the best in the business, those being Lainey Wilson, Dolly Parton, and Tanya Tucker among many others! The Belmont University student aspires to be like her fellow country singer Raelynn, an artist who often speaks her mind and is not afraid to hold back. Her advice to newer artists? “Take all the help you can get and take it all in. There is only one you and you are the only person who can make your songs. There is never gonna be another you” Alison will be realising new music in the coming months so stay tuned! You can find her debut song across all streaming platforms and check out @alisonturnermusic on Instagram for more information. Author: Charles Hacker
