Emerging country singer Hailey Verhaalen’s new single, “Someday When This is Over” is now available here.
This single comes straight from the heart as it was written about the tough times we are all going through. Regarding the title track, Verhaalen says, “the scary times we’re living in have been weighing on us all, and I had finally gotten to my breaking point! In moments like that, I turn to music and lyrics to heal. I wanted to remind everyone, including myself, that we WILL get through this together, and that we have to stay strong for those around us, especially the younger generations.” Verhaalen was able to capture her true feelings through this powerful ballad and also says it turned out to be one of the most meaningful songs she’s ever written. Her hope is that people will listen and connect with the emotion she poured into it. With angelic voices and beautifully woven folk melodies, Montreal trio Birds From Paradise are welcoming you into their cozy musical world with the release of their debut album "Birds"
"Birds" is filled to the brim with songs that highlight the trio’s delightful personalities while focusing on freedom, love and friendship, all values that are so dear to them. Although the tracks will surround you with graceful arrangements and cheerful tones and melodies, as you dig deeper into the storytelling you’ll find the lyrics boast stories of romance, personal struggles, loss of a loved one and encouragement, with a few surprises such as the foot-stompin’ track Flashover and the acapella lullaby Berceuse. It’s packed with emotion and vulnerability most artists aren’t able to capture on their debut album. Influenced by artists such as Simon & Garfunkel, Kacey Musgraves and Angus and Julia Stone, Birds From Paradise is a perfectly balanced group: Lauri-Anne, nature and calm’s lover, Florence, with her festive energetic soul, and Olivia the nostalgic who collects memories from people surrounding her. The three young women met during their graduate scholarship in pop music and quickly realized that their voices would blend in flawless harmony. Following their participation in various competitions, they created their first original compositions. Through these competitions, the Birds met Daniel Lepage from Studios Opus who produced and helped them throughout the album’s recording. You can listen to "Birds" the debut album here.
