All the way from London England I got to talk to the talented Ellie Grace, an artist on a quest to share her music with the world. Attending a small all girls school as a child Ellie found her interest in music through a passion for poetry, as music was not popular among her classmates. By age nine, Ellie was writing her own music and learned how to play the guitar. Always consumed with too many feelings, Ellie has made songwriting into a habit of hers. Inspired by the sounds of early Taylor Swift and Lady Antebellum, Ellie’s sound is contemporary and passionate.
Recently Ellie released her single Too Fast My Dear written upon waking up to the realization that she was in a relationship which was moving too quickly, but wasn’t what she wanted.
Becoming more certain of herself as an artist and a storyteller, Ellie hopes others can relate to her music even if they interpret her story differently. Enjoying the journey, Ellie is already in the process of writing new music. She aspires to write music that creates a sense of community among her listeners as she claims “you can never have too many feelings to express.”
So stay tuned for more from this talented London artist as you never know when she’ll make her way into the country music scene.
I am currently a student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles as a marketing major. Upon realizing that I wanted to change the way people perceive country music and to help women have a voice, I began Next Women of Country in 2015 promoting new female artists and sharing their stories with the world.
