Mandi Sagal finds The Rainbow After The Rain

Mandi Sangal can’t even remember a time when she wasn’t dreaming of becoming a country artist. Her biggest inspiration has been herself and knowing that this career path is her calling. To remain motivated in her calling, she says that perseverance is the word she focuses on. “Chasing a dream is full of rejection, hardship, joy and uncertainty. To me, perseverance is consciously choosing to stay on your path even in the midst of incredible difficulties.”

Born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Mandi has been singing publicly since age 9. Well known in her hometown, she has performed everywhere from the Milwaukee Brewers to the Green Bay Packers. There was no question that Mandi needed to move to Nashville. Shortly after high school graduation, Mandi packed her things to pursue the dream. Working full-time while developing her artistry, sound and songwriting craft, is a talent within itself. However, Mandi will always stay true to her Wisconsin roots. Her favorite venue to perform at is the Meyer Theatre in Green Bay, WI. Its ornately beautiful designs add to the feeling that Madi feels when she performs on this stage that otherwise feels like home.

Telling stories is something that comes naturally to Mandi and is one of the many reasons she loves country music. She looks up to Kacey Musgraves and Maren Morris because they stay authentic and true to their beliefs. When they have something to say they say it, which is a deeply admirable and respectable quality to have. When entering songwriting sessions, Mandi typically has the hook or idea and the melody will fall into place after. Working with Caleb Gilbreath and Brad Sample on her music, has been an honor Mandi says. “I have been writing with Brad for a couple years now, and he is so incredibly talented. Caleb is my fiance and also an incredible talent. He played the drums on my singles, is a phenomenal producer, and he is my biggest fan.”

Mandi’s most recent single, “Rainbow” was inspired by the beautiful relationship she entered into after letting go of a toxic one. Meeting the love of her life after experiencing such a negative relationship, proved to Mandi that rainbows do exist. After the storm, comes the rainbow. No matter your sexual orientation or race, love may look differently on the outside, but it’s all the same inside. Watch video below. Mandi says that, “Everyone will have an opinion about your music. Make sure you don’t lose sight of yours.” Not only does Mandi’s voice and wisdom contain a richness beyond her years, she is able to imbue every word with raw emotion and purpose. With influences Fleetwood Mac and Maren Morris woven into her sound, she has created a genre that is entirely her own.

Introducing Suzie Ungerleider

Suzie Ungerleider returns with her new single “Baby Blue,” the first from her upcoming album. The song was inspired by a friend’s childhood. A child of divorce, she saw how it affected him years later and wrote the song to help release the hold those heavy moments have, whatever they may be.

“Baby Blue” is the first single after setting aside her stage name of Oh Susanna, due to its racist connotations with the original Stephan Foster song it was derived from. “Suddenly those racist lyrics felt absolutely current,” says Suzie. “Right here and right now, the lyrics conjure and make present violence against black people. This is the power of language. By saying something, you make it happen in the listener’s mind. It didn’t matter to me that not very many people know that the original lyrics to the song Oh Susanna are racist. I felt that if I were to continue to use the name Oh Susanna I would be passively accepting and perpetuating its racism.”

She is gearing up for the release of her next album “My Name is Suzie Ungerleider.”  Able to finally share who she is and where she came from, Suzie poured her heart out into this album. While her roots lie with Mick Jagger and David Bowie, Suzie’s music evolved into an acoustic style during the pandemic, Suzie sharing, "I never want to make the same album twice."

British country-pop singer/songwriter Twinnie is gearing up for her first headline tour of the UK with six dates booked in for this September. Originally pencilled in for March 2020 the run of dates have been postponed twice due to COVID lockdown rules so the gigs have been a long time coming for the York performer and her fans.

The upcoming concerts are in support of Twinnie’s debut studio album ‘Hollywood Gypsy’ which was released during the height of the Coronavirus pandemic in April 2020 - despite an unorthodox release the record still managed to make its mark with it being named as BBC Radio 2’s Album Of The Week, whilst racking up in excess of 7 million streams across Spotify. The LP also broke the all-genre UK iTunes Album Chart top-ten and spent five consecutive weeks in the Official UK Country Album Chart top-ten peaking at number 2.

The forthcoming UK tour dates will see the English artist further building on her growing reputation within the industry and will allow her to further cement her status as the genre’s next breakout sensation. With her electric on-stage presence and outstanding live vocal Twinnie is a born entertainer and those in attendance are sure to be treated to a truly remarkable live show.

The performer will be joined on the road by US brother/sister pop-country duo Juna N Joey who will be bringing their fantastic vocal harmonies to the UK. Fast becoming one of the most exciting acts on the circuit the pair will add a stellar dimension to the run of shows and act as the perfect opener before headliner Twinnie takes to the stage each evening.

Fans across Britain will be able to catch the pop crossover vocalist performing in Manchester, Glasgow, York, Birmingham, London, and Bristol. The dates will mark the first time Twinnie has headlined her own tour and follows on from her sold-out London show which took place at the Lexington venue back in 2019.

Christine Kindred released her new song on May 14th! “Heartbreak Heart Attack” can be found here. Kindred was not born into a musical family, but her grandfather was her influence as he loved Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson. Her Mom loved female country and pop, while her Dad loved Rock and roll. Kindred started singing at just 3 years old and attended her first concert at 5 years old, which was Faith Hill. She went on to perform in Theater and in the show choir in High School. By the time she was in her first band, she opened up for country artist Colt Ford at the 8 Seconds Saloon in 2014. Kindred looks up to Shania Twain because she “started the whole new age country” and Miranda Lambert because “she has always stuck to what she wants to do”. The Indiana singer loves the strong women in country music.

Her newest song, “Heartbreak Heart Attack” is about “falling into relationships that become toxic and not knowing how to say goodbye”. Kindred’s favorite part about performing is “The people! I love seeing the smiling faces and feeling the energy in the room”. Being on stage is calming and is a place where she feels like she is at home and herself. For her music, Kindred works with Dave Elwert, who has most recently become the drummer for female country trio Runaway June. The singer would give the advice of “Be yourself and don’t let the industry try to change who you are. Do not be afraid of hearing no because it will happen” to aspiring country artists.
