Caylee Hammack Releases Powerful New Song “The Hill” - A Perfect Introduction To Her Upcoming Album6/14/2024 Singer-songwriter Caylee Hammack returns with her powerful new song “The Hill”, the first track off her upcoming album. Written with Tenille Townes and Logan Wall, the song speaks to realizing that winning the argument isn’t worth losing the battle with someone you love. Caylee took to Instagram saying, “It kinda poured out of us in the writing room, it only took a couple of hours! It’s kinda a blur, sometimes the best songs just pour out from heaven.” Not initially pleased with the demo, Caylee set off to Scotland and was inspired by the Celtic sound; the missing piece she was looking for. Listen to “The Hill” out everywhere today here. To accompany the track she also released a music video showcasing a love facing an internal tug of war, and the ultimate decision of their fate together. Directed by David O’Donahue and shot in Nunelly, Tennessee you can watch the music video below. Gearing up to release a full-length album, Caylee has been writing nonstop. She found that her most vulnerable and human songs have the highest streams and decided to put it all out there - the good, the bad, the ugly. The album navigates her relationship with herself and others. There’s a song on there for everyone and Caylee can’t wait to share it with the world. Between albums, Caylee was lucky enough to be a part of Ashley McBryde’s “Lindeville.” Feeling like a wild animal stuck in a cage in 2020, Caylee would attend demo gels where songwriters would sit around the campfire, drink, and exchange demos. It was at one of these where she first heard “Brenda Put Your Bra On” and instantly became a fan. Months later, Ashley called her and asked if she wanted to play the character of Lynette and she screamed “Yes!” Caylee describes the process as a delight, from the characters to the costumes, and the sisterhood that was formed. The most magical moment for her was playing the album live at The Ryman and never before did she think women would be throwing their bras onto that iconic stage, but hey anything goes in Lindeville. Right?! Caylee just returned from a two-night run with Brothers Osborne, playing out new music and meeting fans along the way. She loves the fan experience of seeing a show and will often put on a wig and stand in the crowd while the other artists are on stage. Caylee Hammack is a force to be reckoned with and you’ll want to follow her journey on social media at @cayleehammack.
