Born and raised in a suburb of Los Angeles, artist Liz Anne Hill found herself running off to a rural town in Arizona to escape the city and pursue her love of horseback riding as well as country music. Comfortable strutting around town in her boots and white Ray-Bans, Liz’s music reflects her personality by incorporating the sounds of country with a hint of rock.
Often finding herself in the middle of sticky situations, Liz writes of her own challenges in life. Later she started to observe people, whether it be the bank teller or the barista down the street, finding that by sharing their stories Liz had the ability to tell a story with her music, a story that many of her listers could relate to.
Recently Liz released her single The Fish Ain’t Bitin’ entitled by her father while based upon the experiences of her friends as well as her own. All about the crazy world of dating and it’s ups and downs, Liz hopes the single will inspire her listeners to not be afraid of moving on and starting over.
As for the future Liz hopes to release a full album as well as the music video for her single claiming “I want to enter into the music scene with a bang!”
I am currently a student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles as a marketing major. Upon realizing that I wanted to change the way people perceive country music and to help women have a voice, I began Next Women of Country in 2015 promoting new female artists and sharing their stories with the world.
