Young artist Kailey Swanson feels right at home with performing on stage. With music to shape her into the person she is today and her Grandma who never let the house sit in silence when Kailey was a child, it’s no wonder why Kailey is pursuing a music career of her own.
Using songwriting as a way of talking to her audience, Kailey can write about anything. Blending the sounds of traditional as well as contemporary country, Kailey’s music is diverse and is relatable to any audience. Her latest single Diamonds and Coal was written following one of her worst heartbreaks. Hoping to empower other women through tough times, Diamonds and Coal is sure to make anyone feel better.
Wrapping up her next EP, Kailey can’t wait to hit the road this summer. So listen to Diamonds and Coal on iTunes and Spotify or via Kailey’s website at www.marmosetmusic.com/artists/kailey-swanson.
I am currently a student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles as a marketing major. Upon realizing that I wanted to change the way people perceive country music and to help women have a voice, I began The Women of Country in 2015 promoting new female artists and sharing their stories with the world.
